Practical technology. Real business benefits.

Technology that
makes business
easier.

I help businesses save time, reduce repetitive work and make better use of the people and systems they already have.

Show me what takes too long, frustrates your staff or gets in your customers' way. You don't need to know what technology you need, I can investigate the problem and build a practical solution.

Decades of experience. A hands-on approach.

Building technology since the 1990s. Still curious. Still hands-on.

01 / Sound familiar?

Everyday work.
Unnecessary effort.

Business process improvement might mean using automation to remove repetitive work, or building bespoke software and web applications around a task. When your website is the sticking point, CRO and experimentation help test better customer journeys, supported by analytics and measurement that show whether a change helped.

The same information, typed twice

Your team copies orders between systems, chases missing details or rebuilds the same spreadsheet every week. Connecting the steps could free them for more useful work.

Customers keep getting stuck

People struggle with a form, cannot find an answer or leave before enquiring. A clearer journey and better measurement can help reveal what needs attention.

The answer is somewhere in the data

Reports take hours, figures disagree or staff have to ask someone else for information. A useful view of the data can make everyday decisions easier.

02 / How I work

Less complexity.
More progress.

01

Understand

We talk about what is taking time, frustrating staff or customers, and getting in the way of growth.

02

Simplify

I look for the simplest technology that could meaningfully help. That might involve AI. It might not.

03

Build

I can actually build the solution, from a small automation to a bespoke application.

04

Measure

Where outcomes can be measured, we check whether the change helped. Then learn and improve.

03 / What I can help with

Start with the problem.
Find the right technology.

Business process improvement

Make everyday work less complicated. Identify the repeated tasks, awkward handovers and avoidable administration where a practical change could help.

Automation & practical AI

Let reliable software handle repeatable work. Use AI where understanding language or unstructured information adds something useful.

Not every problem needs AI.

Sometimes a simple script or one less step is all it takes.

04 / Experience that goes deeper

Decades of building
real technology.

I bring more than 30 years of professional software and technology experience, from databases and telecommunications billing to multilingual television listings and web applications.

My CRO career includes Senior Developer work at Webtrends Optimize and Development and QA management at WeTeachCRO. I also founded and developed FreeCROTool, drawing on years of commercial experimentation work.

That breadth lets me consider a small piece of JavaScript, an integration or a database process alongside modern AI tools. The business problem determines the approach.

05 / A little time adds up

What is repetitive
work costing you?

Small tasks can take up a surprising part of the year. See the time you could put towards something more useful.

13 minutes a day≈ 7 working days / £845 a year
28 minutes a day≈ 3 working weeks / £1,820 a year
1 hour a day≈ 6.5 working weeks / £3,900 a year

Based on 260 working days per year, 8 hours per day and 5 days per week. Examples use £15/hour.

Illustrative figures only. Actual savings depend on how much of the activity can realistically be automated or simplified. Staff-time value is not a guaranteed monetary saving.

06 / Practical opportunities

What could a practical
improvement look like?

A report that prepares itself

For example, a scheduled database query could replace daily copying into a spreadsheet. A person still reviews exceptions; the routine preparation happens automatically.

Make reporting more useful ↗

One less customer-service question

A clear order-status page could answer a repeated question without a chatbot. If questions are varied, a carefully scoped AI assistant might be worth exploring.

Compare automation approaches ↗

A form people can finish

Removing an unnecessary field or fixing confusing validation could make an enquiry easier. Measurement helps check whether the change actually helps.
